Our first “big” race for Pretoria in a while.
A coldish Autumn morning saw us line up for the start of the Bestmed Capital Classic. The route was fairly boring heading out on the N14 highway towards Krugersdorp and back.
In the end everyone enjoyed a day out on the bike. Andre finished an impressive 16th overall, coming in with the main Elite bunch in a time of 2:20
Philip and Jaco Engelbrecht finished in the Vets bunch with Philip getting 5th (2:28) and Jaco 18th (2:33)
Ronet and Renate raced Ladies for the day.
Congratulations to Ronet getting 8th overall in a time of 2:54
Renate finished 19th in a time of 3:09
Jaco and Ilé took on the tandem. Great result for them with 3rd mixed tandem!
Well done to all!!!!!
So 2015 is a go!!
We welcome Energas and Kamoeba to the TCS family. Pretty awesome to see companies still supporting cycling and we appreciate it very much that TCS is your choice.
So SA champs happened as well as Fast One and Ride for Sight.
With SA’s, TCS got a new road champ as well as the TT champ for ladies 60-64.
Well done Ilna Lemmer!! We are very proud of you!

Ride for Sight saw good results with Andre and Dewalt finishing in the main bunch (Elites) and Philip getting a top 10 finish in the Vets cat.
Racing this weekend will resume with Carnival City as well as Sabie MTB challenge.

What an awesome race. Well marshalled and the organisation was top class. To all involved in hosting this event, thank you for your time and effort.
Racing started very early with the Elite bunch heading off in the distance at 6am.
Andre, Ian and Dewalt had a good race each with good, hard racing with the pro teams. Well done guys.
Hannes, Johan and Philip tackled the ever competitive Vets category with Philip getting into the winning break of the day earning TCS some cool TV coverage (We hope).
Ronet represented in the Ladies Elite racing.
Well done to everyone who competed and had fun.
Next week will be the turn of Carnival City with almost the same route.
So we have a new SA road champion in our midst. A HUGE congratulations to Jaco who solo powered his way to the win in the Vets 35-39 category.
It is very nice to have the SA jersey back in the TCS camp.
The race was held over 144km and the Vets had to do a 18 lap course.
What a nice event. It is a pity that not more people are competing at this race. Enjoyable day out on the bike.
Well done to all that competed.

Lots of pics and fun on the day with a couple of guys doing two laps and enjoying the views and laughs.
Well done to all competing and most importantly completing the race. It remains one of the toughest races on the calendar.
