Perfect last paragraph to the racing calendar

So the 94.7 came….and now it is gone.
What a blast!!

The VB riders went out with one mission and one only. To win. Which they did. Jaco too honours to finish the year of on a high.
Lots of pics and fun on the day with a couple of guys doing two laps and enjoying the views and laughs.

Well done to all competing and most importantly completing the race. It remains one of the toughest races on the calendar.

Fun on weekends

So the past weekend saw a casual and “relaxed” racing scene.
Rooiwal is the local race where anything and everything goes. You go as hard as you can for as long as you can and see what happens.

In this case, Ian got a deserving 2nd place on the day. Awesome result!

Also the kids took to the racing tracks and enjoyed a day out at 94.7. It was nice to see all the clubbies riding bikes in good weather!

Good luck to the weekend that is 94.7
Big ideals for the VB and Elite groups.

Big Podium weekend for the boys and girls in blue!

This past weekend TCS scored a perfect 1, 2 at the Vortex race just North of Pretoria.
Philip, Ian, Andre and Peet compete in the Elite category over a distance of 112km. With a hard finish and loads of climbing this was never going to be easy.

30km into the race, Peet used the gutter to put the bunch in serious difficulty after which the remaining 3 TCS Blue Pencil Columbia boys threw a blistering attack. The plan succeeded together with 2 Cyclelab riders, Andrew Stockwell and Issy Zimmerman.
With 10km to go it was Philip that got away and Ian finished off with a good second place, Issy was third.
Well done guys!

Then on the MTB front:
Our own African Champ and silver medallist at World Cross Country, Brand du Plessis, managed a 4th overall in this weekends 5th and final leg of the Nissan Series. He also won his age cat (see pictures). Brand is a true ambassador of pain! Congrats!
Mia was the only Mountain Biker competing on Sunday at the Leverage Corporate Charity event held at Monaghan Farms close to Lanseria. Her team won the mix cat on the day and took the series win. Awesome result Mia!!
And then, last but not the least. Lee-zaan Henrichsen managed a 2nd at the World Championship Time Trial event held in Pietermaritzburg, after her bike broke as well. Stunning result! Huge congratulations to her!

This weekend will be Rooiwal and then final big race for the year, the 94.7.

Good luck to all!!!
